Reflections

After enrolling in medical school, I have been given the opportunity to engross myself in a vast amount of knowledge. For example, I have been introduced to numerous new subjects such as Physiology, Anatomy, Pathology, Biochemistry, Clinical Skills and Pharmacology. These subjects are divided into teory as well as practical classes to allow the students to get hands on experience after learning the theory basis of a particular topic. Besides an old-fashioned style of studying, many other study techniques are also implemented such as Problem Based Learnings (PBL)  and seminar sessions where the processes are entirely self-directed. This forms a great platform for students to practice independent learning and enable them to gain knowledge beyond the restricted scope of study.
